INES SAWIRIS
Ines Sawiris is a costume designer based in London.
“As costume designer for Tocaya’s ‘intervention,’ which explored the crossover between human, nagual, and dog, I took inspiration from the anthropomorphic work of Leonora Carrington as well as ancient ritualistic costumes from around the world. With the help of seamstress Lily Rodriguez, I created the two pieces using henequén, a fibre extracted from the left over waste of the agave plant used in tequila and mezcal production in the Yucatán. ” - Ines Sawiris
Notes: elegant, clumsy, movements that feel more Afghan Shepherd
Notes: aggressive, sharp, movements more like a Belgian Malinois
