Tocaya is a collective film studio redefining traditional film industry models by expanding storytelling beyond the screen. Our films don’t exist in isolation—they are developed, produced, and distributed as part of a larger interconnected system that extends into live performance, music, dance, fashion, social intervention, education, and art. This approach builds community alongside a film’s narrative, ensuring that storytelling is a dynamic, evolving force rather than a static product.
Based in Mexico but with global intersections, Tocaya works across cultures, languages, and disciplines. Tocaya develops its own slate of projects, but also offers an adaptable and scalable development and distribution strategy that other companies can integrate into their own frameworks.
At the heart of Tocaya is a commitment to interconnectedness—our stories transcend boundaries, embracing cultural complexity through universal resonance rather than rigid categories. We create new storytelling pathways where films are not just consumed but lived, shared, and expanded through collective engagement.
